Training on Tourism Security: Strategies for Effectively Managing Travel Risk, Safety and Security

The International Center for Communication Development (ICDC) under the Extension and Training Office (ETO), Kasetsart University organized the program “Training on Tourism Security: Strategies for Effectively Managing Travel Risk, Safety and Security” for the 15 police officers from Bangladesh Tourist Police Bureau, Bangladesh. It was held on 31 January – 12 February 2018. This program was in collaboration with the Tourist Police Bureau, who provided experts as facilitator in the lecture session and also the visits to the Thai tourist police at Amphawa Floating Market, Pattaya City, and Ayutthaya Historical Park. The officer from Ministry of Tourism and Sports also gave a lecture on tourism management in Thailand. The group also visited the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Grand Palace.  The program provided ideas, advanced knowledge and experiences, that can be applied by the participants in the tourism activities and tourist police work in Bangladesh.

The international Center for Communication Development (ICDC) under the Extension and Training Office (ETO), Kasetsart University organized the program "Training for Police Bureau of Investigation (Focused on Terrorist Crime Scene Investigation)” for the 20 police officers from Police Bureau of Investigation, Bangladesh. It was held on 29 January – 9 February 2018. This 2-week program is a blend of in-house training with subject experts and fields trips to pertinent offices or places where best practice management regarding crime scene investigation is observed such as the Office of Police Forensic Science under the umbrella of Royal Thai Police, Department of Special Investigation (DSI), K9-Police Dog School and Central Institute of Forensic Science (CIFS).
